Job Title: Ophthalmic Theatre Nurse - Scrub/Anaesthetic

Banding: 5 & 6

Location: London

Working Hours: Day/Night Full-time/Part-time shifts, Mon-Fri and Weekends

Rate: £21.00- £29.00 per hour

Pulse Nursing is seeking a dedicated and experienced Ophthalmic Theatre Nurses with expertise in both scrub and anaesthetic roles to join our dynamic and compassionate team for a prestigious NHS Trust. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing ophthalmic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the operating theatre and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and sterile.
  • Assist the surgical team during ophthalmic procedures, maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Administer anaesthesia and monitor patients\' vital signs throughout the surgical process.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid nursing license.
  • Specialised training or certification in ophthalmic nursing.
  • Experience in both scrub and anaesthetic roles within an operating theatre setting.
