A leading NHS trust in London seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to provide specialized support for diagnostic testing. You will perform key imaging techniques, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality patient care. Job summary: As an Ophthalmic technician, you will provide an efficient specialised support service to all patients allocated for diagnostic testing and face to face assessment.
The post holder will work alongside members of the medical, medical imaging, administrative, nursing team and other allied health professionals. They will support the nursing staff and medical team in providing high quality individualised care to a defined group of service users, relatives, and carers, ensuring the safety and well-being of service users, and always working in a manner that promotes dignity and human rights through the adoption of person-centred care principles.
The post holder will supervise and teach/train all members of the multidisciplinary team in ophthalmic imaging.
The post holder will be responsible for all aspects of the maintenance of ophthalmic imaging equipment. Work with IT to network new equipment and troubleshooting issues with existing equipment.
