Working Part time: 36 hours per week

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Ophthalmic Photographer to join the busy team within Ophthalmology, providing a comprehensive diagnostic Ophthalmic photography service to patients served by the Trust.

The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of duties related to ophthalmic photography for the ophthalmology department, in accordance with the needs of the Trust.

You will be expected to deliver an efficient, professional, skilled, and broad range of technical services for the ophthalmology department using various equipment. You will manage your own workload of patients, maintain associated records, and mentor junior staff where required. The post holder will attend additional training when needed and maintain CPD.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The Trust collaborates within the Cheshire and Merseyside Health and Care Partnership. Its services are provided from three locations:

• The Countess of Chester Hospital: 438 general and acute beds.
• Ellesmere Port Hospital: 56 beds as a rehabilitation, intermediate, and outpatient facility.
• Tarporley War Memorial Hospital: a base for community services serving the local rural population.

The Trust employs over 5,916 staff and provides acute emergency and elective services, primary care, and obstetric services to a population of approximately 411,000 residents, including Chester, West Cheshire, Ellesmere Port, Neston, and part of Flintshire.

In 2022/2023, there were over 503,342 patient attendances, an increase of nearly 10,000 from the previous year.
