Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Ophthalmic Imaging Support role to join our Eye Treatment Centre and Mobile Macular Unit. The post holder will rotate across clinical ophthalmic areas, providing support to registered practitioners and maintaining patient records with confidentiality.

The role emphasises development of competencies within a busy ophthalmic imaging service, with mandatory training and adherence to Trust policies.

Qualificações

Good written and verbal communication with patients.
Enthusiastic and motivated to learn.
Willing to undertake training to carry out extended duties.
Completed Care certificate program or in progress
NVQ Level 3 or 4 in health and social care or working towards this
Experience in computer skills
Knowledge of clinical applications
Can demonstrate examples of the ability to work independently

Responsabilidades

Support registered practitioners in providing safe and effective care to ophthalmic patients.
To act in accordance with policies and nursing procedures as per Trust policy.
To ensure confidentiality of patient records and high standards of documentation under the direct supervision of the registered practitioners.
To elevate as appropriate any untoward incidents, complaints and unit issues.
To attend / complete all mandatory training.
To promote good working relationships and to support the senior ophthalmic team to achieve high morale within the team.
To use all resources efficiently and effectively maintaining an awareness of budgetary implications.
To carry out all administrative and ophthalmic duties as delegated by the senior ophthalmic team.
Be competent within their scope of practice and continue to develop through the acquisition of further skills, knowledge and competencies determined by the individual clinical area.
Demonstrate competence in generic and specialist skills following the completion of the appropriate training and education and within twelve months from commencement in role.
