• Experience as a Health Care Assistant is preferred.
• Experience in an Ophthalmology setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge of patients.
• Support ophthalmic nurses in clinical assessments and diagnostic imaging tests.
• Assist in patient care and ensure safe delivery of patient-focused care in the Ophthalmology department.
• Communicate with colleagues and respond appropriately to requests.
• Help with bed making, dressing, and general ward cleanliness.
• Answer patient call-bells and take appropriate action.
• Maintain ward area cleanliness including kitchen, sluice and storerooms.
