Job summary

The Estée Lauder Companies is seeking an OpEx, IE & Change Parts Intern for our Whitman Laboratories site in the United Kingdom. This 13-month placement provides hands-on experience in Operational Excellence, Industrial Engineering and new product change part development within a dynamic manufacturing setting.

You will support PQ validation, contribute to continuous improvement on the assembly floor, and engage in 3D design, testing and printing to support change part development.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an Undergraduate Engineering degree with a 2:1 or higher.
• Preferred: Chemical, industrial or mechanical engineering degree.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Good IT skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong organisational and communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support production equipment validation (PQ) and assist with launching new products.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives on the assembly floor.
• Engage in 3D design, testing, and printing to support change part development.
• Produce technical documentation and collaborate with engineers and operators.
• Coordinate with external vendors to help meet project milestones and timelines.

Job description

The Estée Lauder Companies is currently recruiting for an OpEx, IE & Change Parts Intern to join our Operational Excellence team on a 13-month placement at Whitman Laboratories. As one of our key manufacturing sites, Whitman produces around one-fifth of Estée Lauder's global sales output, offering an exciting environment to learn, contribute, and make an impact. This internship provides hands-on exposure to operational excellence (OpEx), industrial engineering (IE), and new product change part development within a dynamic manufacturing setting. You'll be part of a highly skilled and supportive team, gaining valuable experience in both day-to-day operations and longer-term improvement projects. What you'll be doing:

• Supporting production equipment validation (PQ) and assisting with the successful launch of new products.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives on the assembly floor.
• Engaging in 3D design, testing, and printing to support change part development.
• Producing technical documentation and collaborating closely with engineers and technical operators.
• Coordinating with external vendors to help ensure that key project milestones and timelines are achieved.

  Currently studying towards an Undergraduate Engineering degree or related subject and be on track to achieving a 2:1 standard or higher. (A Chemical, industrial or mechanical engineering degree is preferred).
