Job summary

National Gas Transmission PLC is seeking a qualified accountant to manage Real Estate Accounting, month-end close, and statutory reporting within the General Accounting Opex team. You will ensure robust controls, accurate reporting, and efficient processes while supporting graduates and driving continuous improvement.

The role requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, strong IFRS knowledge, and experience with SAP S/4HANA and Blackline in a controlled environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of IFRS and reporting requirements within a corporate finance environment.
• Experience with month-end, half-year, and year-end reporting processes.
• Experience in intercompany accounting and governance controls.
• Strong balance sheet management, reconciliations, and journal posting processes.
• Demonstrable track record of process improvements that enhance efficiency and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Real Estate Accounting and reporting with accurate transaction capture.
• Balance Sheet control and risk management through reconciliations and issue resolution.
• Coordinate with offshore finance teams for global delivery.
• Oversee SAP S/4HANA and Blackline ledgers; ensure system controls and user access governance.
• Deliver monthly, quarterly, and yearly close and statutory reporting with accuracy.
