Job summary

Barry Callebaut Group in Banbury is looking for a reliable Production Line Operator to operate and monitor production equipment, ensuring efficient manufacture of chocolate products and strict compliance with food safety and GMP standards.

You will work in a busy production environment, perform routine quality checks, support line changeovers, and collaborate with colleagues to maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths or equivalent required or good numerical skills.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to work with machinery/equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with a quality focus.
• Effective communication and ability to work as part of a team.
• Basic computer literacy and systems familiarity.
• Ability to work accurately and safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable, flexible, and able to work a continuous shift pattern.
• Food hygiene awareness or willingness to obtain a certificate.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment safely and efficiently to meet targets and quality standards.

Job description

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Production Line Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring production equipment to ensure the efficient manufacture of high-quality chocolate products while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, quality, and hygiene.

Working as part of a busy production environment, you will play a key role in ensuring products are produced safely, efficiently, and to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment safely and efficiently to meet production targets and quality standards.
• Monitor production processes and carry out routine quality checks to ensure products meet specification.
• Identify and report equipment, product quality, or process issues, making adjustments where appropriate.
• Support production line changeovers and equipment set-up activities.
• Maintain excellent standards of hygiene, housekeeping, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Assist with cross-training activities and provide support across different production lines when required.
• Follow all food safety, health and safety, and company procedures at all times.

What We’re Looking For

• Fork Lift Truck (FLT) licence.
• Experience operating automated production equipment.
