Operator Grade 6 - SF&A (Nights - Friday to Sunday)

Location: Macclesfield, UK

Join us as an Operator in our Syringe Fill & Assembly (SF&A) team, where you'll play a crucial role in the manufacturing process of a sterile Oncology drug on our cutting-edge packing line. Embrace the challenge of working in a highly regulated environment, ensuring compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE) standards, current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), and AstraZeneca's high standards.

Accountabilities:
  • Set up and operate specific equipment such as syringe fill, labeller and pouch sealing machines and perform safety checks on the Packing Line.
  • Complete electronic documentation with precision.
  • Initiate the line gassing cycle using hydrogen peroxide.
  • Perform hatch transfers of consumables, components, and various equipment.
  • Perform minor interventions and participate in major interventions under aseptic conditions.
  • Conduct cleaning operations in general APA and White Area locations.
  • Perform equipment performance checks.
  • Carry out environmental and personal monitoring.
Essential Skills/Experience:
  • A-levels in a Science, Technology or Maths discipline or equivalent
  • Previous experience of following SOP's in a SHE and GMP controlled environment with a strong attention to detail
  • Operational knowledge of specific line equipment
  • Computer literate and comfortable in a highly digital environment
  • Ability to operate sophisticated machinery and lift and transport equipment, products and tools
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changing operational requirements
  • Ability to undertake core tasks independently, with a focus on attention to detail
  • Able to work collaboratively
  • Is intrinsically motivated
  • Proven problem solving skills and flexibility required to balance conflicting priorities
Desirable Skills/Experience:
  • Recent experience working in a sterile manufacturing environment
  • Experience of Manufacturing Excellence/Lean ways of working including problem solving and continuous improvement techniques
  • Degree in a Science, Technology or Maths discipline or equivalent

Please note: This position is internally aligned to SA91 G6.
