Job summary

Macquarie’s Commodities and Global Markets division is seeking to manage daily movements of inventory financing and oversee P&L exposure in a dynamic, global setting. You will coordinate metal handling, storage and delivery across EMEA, ensuring rigorous compliance with LME rules and coordinating with clients and logistics partners.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, contract terms understanding, and strong organisational and communication skills to mitigate issues and maintain

Qualifications

• Proven logistics operations experience with strong organisation.
• Knowledge of commercial terms, title transfer documents and Delivery Terms.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Familiarity with VAT/REACH regulations in the EMEA region.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily inventory financing movements and run P&L reporting and exposure.
• Oversee physical metal movements and inventory across EMEA and globally.
• Coordinate transportation, storage and delivery of metals traded in/out of warehouses.
• Ensure compliance with London Metal Exchange regulations and perform control assessments on 3PLs.

Job description

This is an exciting opportunity within Macquarie's Commodity Market and Finance desk, where you will be managing the daily movements around inventory financing transactions, including running profit and loss reporting and exposure.

What role will you play?

You will be working in a critical role managing physical metal movements and inventory throughout EMEA and more globally, working with the business to identify and mitigate issues before they become an issue. You will also be working closely with clients to manage their business flow, while coordinating the transportation, storage and delivery of metals traded in/out of warehouses. Lastly, you will be ensuring compliance within London Metal Exchange regulations, including documenting requirements, metal handling procedure and reporting, as well as performing control assessments on third party logistics provided.
