Home Pride, Inc., family owned and operated for more than 25 years, was started as a manufacturer of anchoring systems for the manufactured housing industry. Home Pride also has a fiberglass step division, which produces steps for manufactured housing and portable buildings.

Home Pride Inc. has an opening for an Operator in Bristol, VA.

Operators are responsible for welding, assembly and packaging of steel anchors, steps and anchoring systems for the manufactured housing industry.

This position works 4 ten-hour day shifts weekly.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Wear required safety protection equipment, safety glasses, hearing protection and respirators
  • Review product work order for the day
  • Check for preventive maintenance on tools to be used
  • Work with instructions from supervisors on tasks and product needed
  • Work with materials such as wood and steel
  • Utilize hand tools and power hand tools: saws, drills, air stapler, air nail guns, grinders, sanders, and presses
  • Check Quality
  • Clean-up work area end of shift or when job is complete

Requirements

  • High school education or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
  • Minimum basic skill using air power hand tools and electric powered saws and drill, experience but not required.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to read and comprehend measurements with a tape within a 1/16 of an inch measurement
  • Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift more than 50 pounds
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers in a professional manner.
