Job summary

VolkerHighways, based in Wokingham, is seeking an Operative to join our Traffic Management team. You will install, maintain and remove traffic controls in accordance with Chapter 8 and scheme drawings, under supervisor guidance, while prioritising safety and quality.

The role requires experience in traffic management and highways maintenance, a valid CSCS card, NHSS 12D/M1-M6 qualifications, a UK driving licence, and desirable first aid and LNHSS 12A/B where applicable.

• Previous experience in highways maintenance.
• Holder of valid CSCS card.
• Holder of NHSS 12D M1-M6 qualifications (essential).
• Holder of LNHSS 12A/B (desirable).
• Holder of full valid UK driving licence.
• Holder of valid First Aid at Work qualification (desirable).

We have the capability to deliver major surfacing and public realm infrastructure projects. Our specialist in-house traffic management division provides expert advice and support across the industry, whilst assisting with our own, in-house contracts.

About the role

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Operative to join our Traffic Management business, working out of our Wokingham depot.

The successful candidate will work to instruction from supervisors, ensuring all traffic management is installed, maintained and removed in accordance with Chapter 8 and scheme drawings, whilst demonstrating by example a Safety and Quality approach that is without compromise.

About you

• Previous experience in traffic management operations
• Previous experience in highways maintenance
• Holder of valid CSCS card
• Holder of NHSS 12D M1-M6 qualifications (essential)
• Holder of LNHSS 12A/B (desirable)
• Holder of full valid UK driving license
• Holder of valid First Aid at Work qualification (desirable)
