Job description

Working within City Services, you will report to a Vehicle Team Leader and be primarily responsible for collecting, emptying, and returning domestic waste bins of various sizes across the city, along with manual handling of refuse sacks.

Key Details:
  1. Schedule: The start time is 6:45am, Tuesday to Friday, with some Saturday work possible with advance notice. The role may also require working 37 hours over 5 days, Monday to Friday, with prior notice.
  2. Requirements: Suitable applicants must be physically fit, practical, competent in reading and writing, and adaptable to a flexible work approach as no two days are the same.
  3. Skills: Customer-oriented with good communication skills, confident in manual and operational tasks, and able to use initiative and solve problems.
  4. Training: Full health and safety training will be provided to ensure safe working practices within a team of 40 employees collecting Worcester’s waste daily.
