Job summary

Ipsum is recruiting an Operative Development Manager for our Northwest Water team in Haydock/Warrington. You will lead training programs, develop operatives, and drive upskilling across on-site and off-site environments.

In this role you will implement development frameworks, mentor staff, and work with the PMO to meet mandatory training. Competitive salary with pension and progression opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Leadership and people management experience in a supervisory role.
• Ability to coach and mentor teams to improve performance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate in-house training to align operatives with the company’s Technical Development Frameworks.
• Accompany operatives on-site to enhance practical knowledge and skills.
• Organize on-site training for operatives to observe drainage work, including CCTV surveys.
• Oversee off-site training focused on compliance, paperwork, and client systems.
• Collaborate with the PMO team to manage external mandatory training requirements.
