Job description

Hours of work:

Day shift pattern:

Week 1: 6am - 6pm - Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun (Wed & Thur off)

Week 2: 6am - 6pm Wed & Thu (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat & Sun off)

The job role:

Working at our secondary processing site, you will be required to ensure all production is completed to meet required tonnage, quality and in accordance with HSE protocols and site procedures and to provide cover for laboratory dues during absences.

The more common activities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Using computer operated machinery to produce powder grades and slurries (training will be provided)
  2. Manually moving and connecting pipes, changing sieves/screens and moving pumps. Using high pressure hoses to clean machinery, tanks and work areas.
  3. Lab work - testing what is being produced using viscometers and moisture meters and using XRF machine for chemical analysis (training will be provided)
  4. Carry out more advanced lab testing to cover lab technician when needed, testing loss of ignition, residues, Quartz particles, redox and using a computer system to input data via a SAP and LIMS system (Training will be provided)
  5. Forklift - Moving bulk IBC's, Change chemicals IBC's, offloading and loading lorries (can be trained)
  6. Front end loaders - To load hoppers and Tippers (can be trained)
  7. General site housekeeping.

Please note that this role will involve working at height.

  1. Ideally have worked in a similar industrial environment.
  2. Ideally have mobile plant licences / experience - however we can get you trained up.
  3. Have a good level of numeracy, literacy, and IT competence.
  4. Legally be able to drive in the UK
