Job description

We have an exciting opportunity at our Tarmac Glasgow DSM - Dry Silo Plant.

We are currently looking for an Operative to join our team.

Main Responsibilities

Reporting to the Plant Manager, the successful Operative will be responsible for actively participating in activities to ensure plant safety, availability, production output, and quality. Responsibilities include:

• Meeting daily production targets
• Reporting data for quality purposes
• Moving, loading, and unloading products from the plant and vehicles
• Meeting customer service requirements with accurate loading and timely vehicle turnaround
• Continuous improvement of performance standards and production methods
• Maintaining good housekeeping

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have experience in an industrial or factory environment. Preferred experience includes Forklift Truck Operative, Multi-Skilled Operative, or Labourer. Training will be provided. Good communication skills and a desire to develop operative and supervisory skills are essential. The role may require working at alternative sites and staying overnight.

The position is based at our Glasgow Dry Silo Mortar plant, accessible from Cumbernauld, East Kilbride, Largs, Carluke, Kilmarnock, and surrounding areas.
