Job summary

Sharpsmart Ltd, part of Daniels Health, is seeking a production/warehouse operative in the UK. You will check in containers, move waste, operate a forklift for autoclave loading, weigh waste, and manage paperwork with attention to detail. A strong teamwork ethos is essential.

We offer consistent hours Monday to Friday 8am–6pm, with opportunities for overtime. Competitive salary around £31,473 per year, plus private healthcare and employee benefits.

• Experience in a production/warehouse environment is preferred.
• Able to communicate well across the plant and support as needed.
• Team player with a flexible approach to varied tasks.

Responsibilities

• Check in containers and paperwork for deliveries onto site.
• Move and unload specific waste containers.
• Operate a forklift to load an autoclave.
• Weigh incoming sharps and medical waste containers on the weighbridge.
• Load and operate the autoclave machine.
• Lift and push carts during handling.
• Ensure accuracy of paperwork for processing items.
• Stock management and driver stock requirements.
• General housekeeping around the site.
• Stand for extended periods and work with the team.

What will you be doing?

• Checking in containers and checking paperwork, including all deliveries onto site of consumable stock
• Moving/unloading specific waste containers
• Operating a forklift to load an autoclave
• Weigh incoming sharps and regulated medical waste containers (using our Weighbridge)
• Load/operate our autoclave machine (a pressure chamber to melt materials)
• Lifting and pushing carts
• Provide attention to detail, especially with the paperwork required to process these items
• Stock management and preparation of driver stockequirements
• General housekeeping
• Standing for extended periods of time happily and comfortably
• Working well with a team because we are all about team work!

The ideal candidate will have experience in a production/warehouse environment with experience of working in afast pacedposition. Team work is a huge part of this role and you must be able tocommunicate well across the plant, and be able to support as needed.We are looking for an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.
