MARCH is seeking an Operations & Warehouse Operative in Chelmsford to support stock control, deliveries, and day-to-day warehouse administration. You will ensure accurate recording, storage and inventory traceability while assisting across facilities and compliance tasks.

The role requires practical warehouse experience, strong organisational skills and a proactive, reliable approach in a busy environment. A permanent position offering development within a growing business.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse, stores, inventory or operational support.
• Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
• Experience managing stock or warehouse records.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Comfortable with administrative tasks and basic reports.
• Awareness of workplace Health & Safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, efficient workspace and facilities.
• Assist with Health & Safety, compliance and regulatory duties.
• Receive, check and store deliveries with accurate records.
• Manage warehouse stock with full traceability and accountability.
• Issue equipment and oil to operational teams against job numbers.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Use Excel to maintain stock records and update reports.
• Complete administrative tasks and data entry accurately.
• Keep warehouse and surroundings organized and compliant.
• Support wider warehouse and operational activities as needed.
