Job description

Join our Zoom team as a Specialist Operational Trainer! You'll deliver and design key training programs and support the development of our Managers!

Location: Leyton & Acton, London, UK

About the role

As a Specialist Operational Trainer, you will deliver and design specialist training (New Starter, MHE, Food Safety, H&S) within our Ocado Zoom sites (Leyton and Acton). You'll support the development of Zoom Managers through train-the-trainer programs and individual coaching. Ensuring training, processes, and documentation comply with legislation, Health and Safety regulations, and operational standards is key. You'll also monitor, evaluate, and support the effectiveness of training to drive business performance.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering effective inductions and ensure all new starter paperwork is complete.
  • Conducting specialist training in line with HSE requirements and Ocado policy.
  • Reviewing and update training processes and materials.
  • Delivering accredited Food Safety and H&S training.
  • Providing bespoke operational process training as needed.
  • Supporting customer complaints and satisfaction.

Skills/Qualifications

  • Previous training/coaching experience (teacher, coach, military, etc.).
  • Presenting skills with the ability to present on technical subjects.
  • Proven experience in training design, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Operational knowledge of key processes and Safe Systems of Work.
  • Experience in 1:1 coaching and providing feedback.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Food Safety Level 4 in Manufacturing, Logistics, Catering.
  • Fire Warden (or equivalent experience).
  • First Aid at Work.
  • IOSH accreditation.
