Job Description:

We are a UK based Operations & Management Company focused on driving improvements for hydropower schemes and owners through Operations, Maintenance, Monitoring and Management.

We are looking for a multi-skilled Operations Technician with a mechanical, hydraulic and/or electrical background to join a team that delivers scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and service programmes for clients across Scotland.

The ideal candidate will be able to successfully undertake fault finding, repair and maintenance activities of hydropower plants, including hydraulic systems, turbines, motors, pumps, inverters, PLC control systems, 3 phase electrical systems.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 4 years+ experience working in the E&M service sector.
  • Experience in a role which is hands-on the tools and capable of using initiative
  • Experience with bearings, lubrication, ventilation, hydraulic components and pumps
  • Strong troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills.
  • Proactive and ability to be flexible in a changing environment.
  • Able to work independently, under pressure and in remote areas.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • A full driving licence.
  • PLC Control/ SCADA or power electrical systems experience.
  • Experience working in the hydro or renewable energy industry.
