Job description

You'll be working directly with critical elements of the plant, making sure everything runs safely and efficiently, in a way that complies with environmental legislation. This includes continuously monitoring, controlling, assessing and adjusting plant processes, and applying your expertise to any problems that arise.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Particular responsibility for the water tube boilers - sampling and analysing the water within them.
  • Isolating plant systems if necessary to ensure the plant operates safely.

Shift Rota: 5x Day shifts - 7 Days off - 5x Night shifts - 8 days off (12 hour shifts).

To be successful in this role, you'll need a background in Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering, with familiarity of aspects of an Energy Recovery site or similar process plant/facility, and knowledge of how to use plant ancillary equipment.

Additional requirements include:

  • Familiarity with boilers, process control and measurement.
  • Knowledge of relevant environmental legislation.

SUEZ will invest in you from day one with a structured development program, including experience and certifications required for the role, such as a BOAS Cert IBO and an IOSH Working Safely qualification, along with good IT skills.

The total package for this role includes a salary of £35,785.98, plus 20% Shift Allowance (£7,157), up to 10% Bonus (~£3,578), and Company Pension (5% employer contributions), totaling up to £46,520 at the time of joining, alongside support for your ongoing professional development.
