Astute's Power team is partnering with a leading energy provider to recruit an Operations Technician to work on a COMAH site in Seascale on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Shift Manager you will:

1. Work as part of the operations team.
2. Ensure safe and efficient operation of the CHP plant.
3. Perform frontline mechanical and electrical maintenance as necessary.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

1. Experience working in a similar heavy process industry including power, chemical, refineries, etc.
2. Applications from ex-defence candidates welcome.
3. A relevant engineering qualification is desired.

Personal skills

The Operations Technician role would suit someone who:

1. Is able to work a rotating shift pattern.
2. Lives in the Seascale area for the duration of the FTC.
3. Works well in a team environment and also independent.
4. Prioritises high levels of health and safety.
