A highly experienced Operations & Technical Manager is sought to oversee a portfolio of yachts, ensuring technical compliance, smooth day-to-day operations, and consistent, high-level client service. This role combines regulatory oversight with practical problem-solving and close collaboration with captains, crew, and owner representatives.
The ideal candidate will be proactive, solutions-focused, and confident managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. You’ll act as the primary contact for Owners and play a key role in maintaining vessel standards, driving operational improvements, and enhancing the onboard experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage day-to-day operations and technical compliance (ISM, Mini ISM).
Liaise with Class, Flag, PSC on compliance issues and defect resolution.
Provide fleet-wide guidance on new regulations and oversee certification tracking.
Lead technical response to failures and support maintenance/refit planning.
Prepare and manage budgets, reports, and expenditure forecasts.
Support crew management, including payroll, leave tracking, and welfare initiatives.
Administer insurance renewals and claims.
Oversee inventories and regular yacht visits.
Participate in emergency response planning and internal audits.
Represent the company at industry events and assist with interdepartmental projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum 2 years in a yacht management or similar operational/technical role.
Seagoing experience as Captain orChief Officerpreferred.
Strong working knowledge of ISM, ISPS, SOLAS, MARPOL, MLC, and related regulations.
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and yacht management software.
Multilingual skills are a bonus but not required.
