This opportunity to join the Customer Water Services North Multifunctional Team as a CWS Multifunctional Team Leader is now available. Reporting to the CWS Multifunctional Team Manager, this leadership role will support water asset operations, promote best practices in H&S, Water Quality, and fiscal management, and aim to improve customer service. The role focuses on enhancing operational performance across a diverse water network and leading a high-performing team.

What you’ll do

You will manage all water network activities in Argyll mainland and Lochaber, including wastewater networks, working closely with the Business Manager and Team Manager. You will foster a positive health, safety, and wellbeing culture through leadership, continuous learning, and support. Your technical and leadership skills will guide the NSO team through daily challenges and oversee repairs and maintenance by NMO teams. You will drive performance improvements, develop a customer-centric culture, and ensure proper planning and risk mitigation to minimize service disruptions. Managing water quality and network incident responses, including root cause investigations and DWQR reporting, is essential. You will support the Capital Investment Programme and ensure timely delivery of projects, collaborating with stakeholders like ICC, E&M, Developer Operations, EPA, DWQR, and others. Managing contractors and ensuring H&S compliance are also key responsibilities.

What you’ll bring

You should have significant operational experience, a track record of safe and compliant performance, proven leadership skills, and a passion for continuous improvement. Effective collaboration, in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and standards, and strong team management skills are essential. You must be able to manage a large budget and hold a driving license.
