Job Title: Housing Operations Team Leader

Location:North Wales

Salary: £42,000

Hours: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week 8.30am-5pm

Contract Type: Permanent

Purpose Of The Role

Our client, a leading housing provider, is seeking a Housing Operations Team Leader to oversee accommodation services across North Wales. Working alongside a second Team Leader, youll manage a team of Housing Officers responsible for property inspections, complaints, safeguarding and welfare checks for Service Users.

Youll ensure compliance with policies, meet KPIs, and support the Strategic Operational Lead. While primarily covering North Wales, flexibility to support other areas in Wales is required when needed.

This is a home-based role with regular travel. Youll attend regional meetings and liaise with the Home Office, local authorities, safeguarding teams, and emergency services. Strong incident management skills and the ability to support staff in challenging situations are essential.

The ideal candidate is driven, with previous supervisory or operational management experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support Housing Officers across North Wales, ensuring regular performance reviews, training, and team productivity.
  • Oversee a property portfolio, ensuring compliance with health and safety and property standards.
  • Ensure all activities meet the contract requirements, including performance targets and audit reporting.
  • Support Service Users through proper inductions, managing overstayers, and maintaining welfare and safeguarding standards.
  • Liaise with local authorities, emergency services, and partner agencies to coordinate housing services.
  • Organise and manage time effectively to complete site visits, audits, and report outcomes to the Strategic Operational Lead.
  • Respond to complaints and incidents promptly, supporting staff through challenging situations when needed.
  • Attend meetings, work collaboratively across teams, and provide cover when required.
  • Maintain accurate records, respond to communications in a timely manner, and ensure data is handled securely.
  • Commit to personal and team development, completing required training and following the agreed development plan.
