Job summary

A leading technology company is seeking an Operational Systems Support (OSS) Engineer for a 3-month hybrid role. The engineer will manage OSS applications, resolve fault tickets, and proactively improve service quality. Job description

Role: Operational Systems Support (OSS) Engineer

Duration: 3 months, starting immediately

Location: Warwick / Wokingham / Corsham / Farnborough

Mode: Hybrid – most work is remote, with occasional travel to customer sites

Security Clearance: SC cleared or SC eligible required

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Support the OSS applications, manage fault tickets, and perform general administration duties. Escalate issues to 4th line support as needed.
  2. Resolve fault tickets and perform application administration on the OSS estate. Develop standard fixes with IT teams to reduce ticket volume.
  3. Proactively improve service reliability and quality, reduce fault volumes, impact, and MTTR. Maintain documentation in line with standards.
  4. Collaborate with development teams to recommend IT system improvements. Manage license compliance, security, patching, and capacity.
  5. Participate in customer projects (MACDs).
  6. Onboard devices onto StableNet SNMP system, configure monitoring, datapoints, alerts, and report creation.
  7. Support fault management activities.
Additional Information:

Support the Programme Team in managing network infrastructure during implementation and transition to Early Life Support.
