Job summary

Primark Stores Limited in Reading is seeking an Operations Support to help maintain a safe, efficient store environment. The role is part-time, 20 hours per week with varied shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

You will support the Environmental Health & Safety Lead, help manage hazards, assist with training and POS printing to support pricing policy, and handle basic store needs like first aid kits and PPE orders.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an administrator or in a similar support role.
• Knowledge of local employment legislation and best practice.
• Excellent organisational skills with flexibility and prioritisation.
• Strong written and verbal communication with a persuasive style.
• Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and grow.
• Motivation to do a good job and contribute to the team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Environmental Health & Safety Lead in store and be the main contact to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist management with hazard mitigation, training programmes and driving operational excellence.
• Print POS tickets to support Primark’s pricing policy.
• Manage lost property; check first aid kits; order PPE, stationery and sales floor equipment.
