Overview

Welcome to IFG, one of the fastest growing education catering companies in the country. IFG brands include Hutchison, Chapter One, Cucina & Innovate. We are looking for an experienced contract catering Operations Support Manager who still likes to be involved with food. The role covers the Middlesbrough to Newcastle area, with Monday to Friday working days, from 7am to 3pm (40 hours per week).

Working Weeks: 52 weeks per year (20 days paid annual leave plus 8 bank holidays). Pay Details: £30,000 plus mileage.

Responsibilities
  • Support the operations manager across a portfolio of sites geographically (Middlesbrough to Newcastle).
  • Support sites, manage clients, conduct site audits, and assist with HR & recruitment.
  • Cook at sites when needed.
  • Provide multisite management support, with a passion for food and service, and craft kitchen skills where required.
  • Meet with clients and stakeholders to build effective relationships and drive the shared goal of feeding more students with better food.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience in multisite management; comfortable working across multiple sites and guiding chef managers with day-to-day operations while building client relationships.
  • A chef by trade, and willing to be in the kitchen when needed.
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels, from kitchen staff to boardroom.
  • Self-motivated, resilient, highly organized, with strong prioritisation abilities.
  • Proficient with Office software; ability to produce spreadsheets and presentations to monitor performance.
