DS Smith in Kemsley Mill seeks an Operations Support Manager to lead day-to-day performance, drive improvements in safety, quality, productivity and cost, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, efficient operations.

You will analyse data, identify losses, and implement actions to meet business objectives while coaching teams to sustain a culture of ownership and continuous improvement in a fast-paced process environment.

• Experience in a continuous manufacturing or process industry environment.

• Provide visible operational leadership across PM3/PM6 and support Senior Shift Managers.
• Analyze operational data to identify improvement opportunities and ensure actions are sustained.
• Lead structured problem solving and Root Cause Analysis.
• Promote Standard Work, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.
• Champion safety, quality and environmental excellence across the site.
• Support maintenance planning, shutdowns and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Help identify and eliminate recurring equipment and operational issues.

• Coach and develop operational teams to achieve high performance.
• Encourage ownership, accountability, and engagement across the organisation.
