Job summary

Veolia Environmental Services (Uk) Plc is seeking an experienced operatives role to plan and deliver day-to-day plant operations, ensure permit compliance, and supervise mobile plant such as loading shovels and 360 excavators. The role requires a full UK driving licence and prior experience in a similar environment.

You will coordinate with site personnel and contractors, manage vehicle movements, ensure accurate paperwork, and contribute to a safe, compliant workplace while supporting

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a similar operational environment.
• Licence for mobile plant (loading shovel or 360 excavator) is required.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver day-to-day operations for plant availability, staffing levels and maintenance tasks.
• Carry out site inspections and monitoring for permit compliance.
• Follow fire watch and heat monitoring procedures.
• Ensure material inputs and outputs meet quality standards.
• Ensure all outgoing loads have correct paperwork in place.
• Manage waste flows, volumes and transport bookings.
• Supervise and operate the Front Loading Shovel and 360-degree excavator after training.
• Routine maintenance and cleaning of mobile plant and equipment.
