Job Description:

The Role: The Operations Strategy and Oversight Manager will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction of our insurance operations and ensuring effective execution of key initiatives. This role involves overseeing the Operations Business Change Manager and Operations Product Owner, ensuring alignment with company goals, and optimizing operational efficiency and budget control.

You will be responsible for overseeing the performance and development of the following roles:

  • Operations Business Product Owner
  • Operations Business Change Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of the HSB Building Warranty Insurance Services’ annual operational and strategic plans in line with HSB UK and Ireland’s 2025 ambitions.
  • Understand and document the end-to-end customer journey and lead digital process and journey improvements, hosting meetings and workshops.
  • Develop and launch programs to deliver strategic plans, including digital initiatives like customer portal development.
  • Engage senior stakeholders and report benefits delivery and change progress to relevant committees.
  • Build and execute a strategic roadmap, aligning digital operations with strategic goals, and obtaining sign-off from Directors and Steering Committees.
  • Delegate and manage tasks through Business Product Owners.
  • Collaborate with Customer Service leadership to ensure operational activities comply with regulatory requirements and risk strategies.
  • Align product development with operational needs and strategic goals, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence.

  • Ability to analyze numerical trends and support data-driven decisions
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks

Qualifications & Education:

  • University degree or equivalent (preferred)
