A well-established industrial processing organisation is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to take charge of one of its key UK sites. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role offering significant scope for operational leadership, team development, and continuous improvement.
The Opportunity
You will lead all on-site operations to ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of output targets. This role suits a hands-on, decisive leader with a track record in driving performance and building strong site cultures within a manufacturing, processing, or engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all operational activity across the site to meet production, quality, and safety goals
Champion health, safety, and compliance standards, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement
Maintain and develop site infrastructure, equipment, and emergency preparedness systems
Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise cost
Manage and mentor on-site teams to promote high engagement and performance
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional initiatives
Report operational performance and support the strategic direction of the site
Candidate Profile
HNC, HND, or equivalent technical qualification in a relevant discipline
Proven leadership experience in a production, engineering, or industrial setting
Strong awareness of safety regulations; NEBOSH or IOSH certification advantageous
Skilled in communication, coaching, and driving team-based improvements
Resilient, solutions-focused, and able to manage competing priorities
Commercially aware with an ability to align site operations to broader business objectives
