Overview

This role supports Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through Alliance Healthcare. The Operations Shift Manager oversees the efficient and compliant operations of our 24/7 pharmaceutical wholesale warehouse during assigned shifts, managing team performance, ensuring adherence to standard procedures, maintaining safety and compliance, and aligning service with SLA and KPI targets.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily shift operations, ensuring smooth, efficient, and accurate picking.
• Establish clear expectations and demonstrate high standards of work practices and safety-conscious behaviour.
• Lead, engage, mentor, and develop a multi-skilled operations team.
• Collaborate with HR Business Partner for growth opportunities and support team development, coaching, and direction.
• Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Oversee warehouse operations during assigned shifts, ensuring effective handovers.
• Monitor automated systems and equipment performance.
• Address and resolve operational issues as they arise.
• Coordinate with maintenance for timely resolution of equipment malfunctions.
• Investigate customer service issues and implement corrective actions.
• Provide training for team members and ensure proficiency in automated systems.
• Collaborate with the Learning and Development department for ongoing training programs.
• Champion and lead health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with all regulations.
• Promote a culture of safety within the department.
• Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to drive performance.
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving measures.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in warehouse operations and team management.
