We are excited to offer an opportunity for an Operations Scientist III to join our manufacturing and R&D facility in Witney, West Oxfordshire, leading the Environmental Monitoring Group. In this role, working within a small and friendly team, you will ensure that cleanroom monitoring activities maintain the sterility assurance level in our facility.

The Environmental Monitoring Group performs regular microbial monitoring of cleanrooms, products, and utilities to ensure compliance with ISO 8 standards. The team reviews and investigates trends, champions cleanroom best practices, and assesses changes to cleaning and gowning procedures.

Your responsibilities will also include leading continuous improvement projects and providing expertise to colleagues in engineering, production, and quality departments.

Those with strong secondary education and industry experience are encouraged to apply. You should possess excellent attention to detail, a logical and methodical approach to problem-solving, and the ability to prioritize and adapt to changing circumstances. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for working with cross-functional teams.

Practical skills in a manufacturing environment are necessary, along with good IT skills, including proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Willingness to spend time in the manufacturing facility is required, with opportunities to develop hands-on skills.

Benefits:

Abbott offers a comprehensive benefits platform, including a competitive salary, a highly attractive benefits package (such as a defined-contribution pension scheme, share ownership scheme, private healthcare, life assurance, and flexible benefits), and initiatives to support work-life balance and employee well-being, including onsite activities like allotments, yoga, and more.
