Job Title: NFRM Transaction Processing Risk Type Controller

Location: London

Corporate Title: AVP

Non-Financial Risk Management (NFRM) is a function within the Chief Risk Office, focused on managing the Bank’s non-financial risk exposure in alignment with the group-wide risk appetite and governance framework. You will be part of the Transaction Processing Risk Type Controller Team (TPR RTC), evaluating all DB businesses and infrastructure units to identify, assess, mitigate, and track risks associated with DB’s transaction portfolio. The team establishes roles and responsibilities for the Transaction Processing Risk Framework, overseen by the Non-Financial Risk Committee and reviewed periodically by the Management Committee.

Your key responsibilities
  • Ensure TPR Risk Management aligns with NFRM Framework and regulatory expectations
  • Provide feedback to the 1st Line and ensure independent 2nd line oversight of transaction processing risks
  • Monitor Bank-wide Risk Appetite breaches related to transactions
  • Enhance risk dashboards and analytics to identify stress points across the Bank
  • Support critical deliverables from a 2nd Line perspective
  • Drive improvements in control processes to strengthen risk management practices
  • Collaborate with businesses, Operations, Infrastructure, and stakeholders to develop TPR risk themes
Your skills and experience
  • Extensive experience in Business, Operations, Risk management, or similar roles within financial services
  • Deep understanding of investment banking/financial products and infrastructure controls
  • Strong knowledge of Operational Risk Management principles
  • Experience working with senior stakeholders in high-pressure environments
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
