Are you a people-first leader with experience managing logistics and fleet operations?


We’re working with a well-established, UK-wide logistics organisation to find a proactive and hands-on Logistics and Operations Manager to join their head office team.


You will lead the team responsible for managing drivers and fleet, subcontractor relationships, and day-to-day resource deployment through a bespoke internal system. You’ll collaborate closely with operational leaders to forecast needs, respond to changing demands, and continuously improve workforce efficiency.


What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Leading a team of 5+ operational managers
  • Managing daily headcount allocation across multiple sites
  • Managing a substantial fleet UK-wide
  • Overseeing subcontractor and agency relationships, ensuring service and compliance
  • Using internal tools and systems to support scheduling and resource forecasting
  • Supporting the development and implementation of strategy nationwide
  • Acting as a key stakeholder in service reviews and operational planning

What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience in fleet management, workforce planning, or logistics operations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills; confident managing and developing teams
  • Proven ability to manage agency/subcontractor relationships and performance
  • Analytical and organised, with the ability to forecast, model, and respond to workforce needs
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment with shifting priorities
