Are you a people-first leader with experience managing logistics and fleet operations ?

We’re working with a well established, UK wide logistics organisation to find a proactive and hands on Logistics and Operations Manager to join their head office team.

You'll lead the team responsible for managing drivers and fleet, subcontractor relationships, and day to day resource deployment through a bespoke internal system. You'll collaborate closely with operational leaders to forecast needs, respond to changing demands, and continuously improve workforce efficiency.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Leading a team of 5+ operational managers
Managing daily headcount allocation across multiple sites
Managing a substantialfleet Uk wide.
Overseeing subcontractor and agency relationships, ensuring service and compliance
Using internal tools and systems to support scheduling and resource forecasting
Supporting
the development and implementation of strategy nationwide
Acting as a key stakeholder in service reviews and operational planning
What We’re Looking For:

Experience in fleet management, workforce planning, or logistics operations
Strong leadership and communication skills; confident managing and developing teams
Proven ability to manage agency/subcontractor relationships and performance
Analytical
and organised, with the ability to forecast, model, and respond to workforce needs
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, operational environment with shifting priorities
