Operations Product Development Manager

Hybrid working - Central London

Travel to France 2-3 times a year

Our client is a world-famous luxury fragrance house recognized for creating the finest artisan fragrances using exquisite natural ingredients and traditional methods. Now one of the largest independent players in high-end luxury fragrance globally, our client has achieved exceptional performance over recent years and aims to double in size over the next three years.

About the Role

KJ Talent & Partners is exclusively hiring an Operations Product Development Manager to join our client’s talented London-based global team, central to the business. You will work with peers to deliver consistent results, reduce development lead times, mitigate risks, adhere to initial timelines, and ensure cost, quality, and service standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Global Marketing Team on new product briefs to ensure design-to-cost, profitability, sustainability, and innovation.
• Work with cross-functional partners throughout the NPD launch cycle.
• Manage product launches and project development activities to ensure timely and cost-effective new product launches.
• Prepare and monitor Feasibility Costs, Cost of Goods, and Gross Margin Analysis in coordination with Finance (Procurement, Cost Control, and Financial Management).
• Anticipate, assess, and manage risks related to timing, quality, and costs of NPD projects.
• Optimize launch processes, tools, and procedures.
• Serve as custodian of the Stage Gate process.

About You

• Over 4 years of project management experience with responsibility for launching global products involving cross-functional teams.
• Experience in developing products and packaging within the beauty industry (perfume, skincare, or makeup), especially for luxury markets.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, international project environment with strong relationship management and influencing skills.
• Creative and innovative mindset.
• Analytical with strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills; fluency in French is highly desirable.
