Join us in shaping the future of esports and gaming!

At EFG (ESL FACEIT Group), we create worlds beyond gameplay, where players and fans become a community. We pride ourselves on our corporate social responsibility, encapsulated in the motto “IT’S NOT GG, UNTIL IT’S GG FOR ALL”. Our passion, craft, and DNA are aligned to create and shape the world of esports, gaming tournaments, leagues, events, and holistic ecosystems through our millions of players, fans, and heroes, as well as through our people and culture.

We are a full-service esports company that creates, manages, and monetizes competitive video game leagues. We build a title’s competitive community from the ground up, growing it into a unique, professional, and world-class esports operation. We manage all league operations and produce expert live entertainment in-studio or at stadium-sized venues. We deliver monetary results by authentically translating our publishers’ and brand sponsors’ business outcomes to this massively diverse community.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

The Packager is a key stakeholder for inbound RFPs and also serves as a necessary bridge to internal execution teams, balancing EFG’s internal fiscal and operational needs while also interfacing with the client to ensure their satisfaction. This means working alongside, and in parallel, with the partnership, production, and project management teams to help create budgets for inbound RFPs, co-author execution plans for inbound business, and work with internal teams and vendors to ensure that everything is delivered to our standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Serve as the main point of contact between the games partnerships team and the production and broadcast teams, concerning the live event planning and execution.
  • Act as a liaison between EFG and Client stakeholders; identify risks, monitor potential scope creep, and work with internal teams to be proactive, discover, and convey relevant updates.
  • Partner with the Project Managers to navigate and analyze budget decisions, ensuring decisions are in the best interest of the product and partnership teams, along with the client to meet financial targets.
  • Support the team with suggestions for the execution of productions, focusing on cost efficiency and feasibility.
  • Partner with Event IT staff to ensure reliable and robust workflows.
  • Drive overall planning and execution of live event deliverables with the Project, Production, and Broadcast teams to ensure client and EFG goals are achieved.
  • Identify and manage project-related items such as RFP creation, crewing, vendor management, and personnel/tasks.
  • Partner with the production and project management team to create and manage project roadmaps, work back schedules, and task and milestone reports.
  • Provide consistent project updates to various stakeholders on delivery, strategy, adjustments, and progress.
  • Lead and manage internal navigation of issues that arise during project execution.
  • Ensure implementation of globally accepted internal best practices related to project execution, stakeholder management, and communication.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience managing in-studio and/or event productions of all sizes.
  • 5+ years of demonstrable experience managing a project or initiative from start to finish.
  • Proven ability to independently manage multiple departments and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with third-party partners and vendors.
  • Strong negotiating and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work within an environment of frequently changing priorities (not flustered by last-minute issues).
  • Proactive, problem-solving skills, with ability to delegate and oversee teams working independently.
  • Strong supervision skills for experienced vendors.
  • High professionalism, diplomacy, and integrity.
  • Ability to work flexible and extended hours as needed.
  • Willingness to travel and work abroad.
  • Ability to work under time pressure and remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to utilize technical software (Vectorworks and/or AutoCAD).
  • Familiarity with project management software (JIRA, Trello, Asana, Smartsheet) and best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail.
Pluses
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Passion for video games and interactive media.
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in high-stress, time-sensitive environments.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
