A local arts organization in Haddington seeks an experienced Operations Officer to manage daily operations, focusing on ticketing, administration, and event hires. Candidates should have venue management experience and be proficient with ticketing systems. A degree in a relevant field and a valid driving license are essential. This role offers a flexible working schedule but may require evening and weekend work.
Hourly rate of pay: £18.70 - £20.91
Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Friday, 09:00-17:00
Flexi time is applicable, and starting and finishing times are flexible.

The Brunton Theatre Trust has faced significant challenges with the closure of Brunton Theatre, its iconic home in Musselburgh. The Trust has responded proactively, moving its programme to Haddington Corn Exchange, Loretto Theatre in Musselburgh, and North Esk Church in Musselburgh. It now has a new office base in Haddington. In January 2025, the Trust was awarded Multi-Year Funding from Creative Scotland for 2025-2028 and has ambitious plans for the future.
The Operations Officer will join the team at an exciting time, responsible for the safe and effective delivery of daily operations of the Arts Service and Brunton Theatre Trust, focusing on Ticketing, Front of House, Administration, and Event Hires.
Applicants must have previous experience working in a venue setting, proficiency in box office ticketing systems/software, people management, and event management. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required.
Home / Hybrid Working Consideration

Relevant Qualifications
Degree in Cultural Management, Business Management, or equivalent experience and skills.
Driving Licence
Must hold a current driving licence and have access to a vehicle. Reasonable adjustments will be made for disabilities preventing licensing.
Level 1 Disclosure Clearance
Required for access to the Public Sector Network. ELC will handle the application process. A criminal record check from overseas may be required if you've worked or lived outside the UK for more than 3 months in the last 5 years.
