Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to support our Traffic Control Division in the Denver Metro area. This key leadership role assists in the planning, coordination, and execution of daily field operations—ensuring safety, compliance, and performance standards are consistently met. The ideal candidate is an organized, proactive leader with a strong understanding of traffic control operations and a commitment to quality service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations Support: Oversee and support field management in coordinating and maintaining efficient traffic control operations across multiple active projects and crews.
  • Scheduling & Coordination: Ensure the scheduling of crews, coordination of equipment, and coverage across all job sites are properly executed and maintained.
  • Field Oversight: Provide on-site supervision and support to Traffic Control Supervisors, Operators, and Flaggers to ensure safe and compliant setups.
  • Quality Assurance: Verify that all work meets MUTCD, OSHA, and DOT standards; conduct field inspections to uphold operational excellence.
  • Safety Management: Enforce proper use of PPE, conduct safety briefings, and promote a zero-incident safety culture across all teams.
  • Training & Development: Support the ongoing training and certification of field personnel to ensure compliance and professional growth.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of project activities, equipment usage, incidents, and staffing.
  • Communication: Serve as a liaison between field teams, project managers, and clients to ensure clear communication and timely issue resolution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize resource utilization.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of experience in traffic control or construction operations, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong working knowledge of MUTCD, CDOT, and OSHA regulations.
  • Proven ability to manage teams and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and travel across the Denver Metro area as needed.
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, or nights as projects require.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening (including marijuana) and background check.
  • Subject to Federal DOT drug and alcohol testing regulations as outlined in 49 CFR Part 382 and/or 49 CFR Part 199.
