Are you ready to take the lead in transforming public spaces across our borough? We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to head up our Street Scenes & Operations team within the Public Open Space service. This is a high-impact role where your leadership will help deliver cleaner, safer, and more welcoming environments for and visitors alike.

You will oversee a wide range of services—from street cleansing and graffiti removal to the maintenance of play areas, public conveniences, and street furniture. Your ability to coordinate teams, manage resources, and maintain high standards will be key to ensuring our borough remains a place we are all proud of. You’ll also support the delivery of community events and contribute to the smooth running of our depot operations.

This role calls for someone with strong organisational and communication skills, a full driving licence, and be adaptable to work outdoors and on weekends. Previous experience in a similar operational environment is essential, along with a solid understanding of health and safety regulations and budget management.

We are looking for a confident leader who can inspire teams, build partnerships, and drive forward our Cleaner, Safer, Greener initiatives. If you’re motivated by making a visible difference and want to help shape the future of our public spaces, we would love you to join our team.
