Role: Operations Manager - Serious Injury Department
Location: Wakefield (Hybrid Working - typically 2 days in the office, 3 remote)

The Opportunity

CRA Consulting is working with a highly respected national law firm to appoint an Operations Manager to lead their Serious Injury division. This is a unique chance to step into a pivotal leadership role, shaping the performance, growth, and culture of a busy department handling high-value, multi-track serious injury and personal injury claims. This role will suit a proven people leader who thrives in complex PI environments and is motivated by delivering results through people, process excellence, and first-class client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of serious injury professionals via team leaders, ensuring performance, capability, and engagement.
  • Oversee operational delivery of complex, high-value multi-track injury work, maintaining quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Drive performance against operational, customer, and financial KPIs - ensuring consistency across a large-scale PI team.
  • Embed new working practices, systems, and behaviours to enhance case progression and improve client service.
  • Proactively identify risks, capacity issues, or performance shortfalls, implementing effective solutions quickly.
  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure growth, continuous improvement, and staff engagement remain central to departmental success.
