What We Do

Prior's Court is a registered charity providing education and residential care for autistic young people with complex needs and learning disabilities, aged 5-25. Set within a 50-acre site in Berkshire, we have extensive bespoke facilities to help the young people we support to be healthy, happy, more independent, and have the opportunity to access the world of work.

Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated Operations Manager, who will hold the Registered Manager title, to inspire and lead our Care team, ensuring high-quality outcomes for young people while fostering a supportive and safe environment. You will manage 12 Ofsted-registered Children's Homes (with multiple house management on one site). All houses can access a wide range of facilities for learning and leisure across the main Prior's Court site.

Prior's Court's Children's Home currently has an Ofsted rating of Good.

Please note: Due to our location, a holder of a full UK driving licence is preferred for this role.

As the Operations Manager (Registered Manager), you will play a central role in the leadership of our residential care services. You will lead a team of Care Managers to ensure the delivery of high-quality care, safeguarding, and education outcomes for young people in our care. You will work closely with the Executive team and the Director of Care to ensure the successful implementation of Ofsted requirements, regulatory compliance, and best practices.

You will oversee the management of day-to-day operations, ensuring staff coverage, casework, risk management, and safeguarding policies are consistently adhered to. Your leadership will help drive our strategic goals, ensuring young people receive the care, support, and educational opportunities they need to thrive.

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in management of a team, ideally within a care setting.
  • Experience as a Registered Manager for Ofsted is essential.
  • Strong background in providing care to autistic young people with complex needs and learning disabilities.
  • Trained in safeguarding vulnerable children and adults, with experience as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
