A leading construction company is seeking an Operations Manager (Quarry) to oversee two sites in Scotland. You will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, managing operational teams, and adhering to safety and financial regulations. We are currently looking for an Operations Manager(Quarry) to manage our sites at Douglasmuir Sand and Gravel Quarry, Milngavie, Glasgow and Tarmac Reilly Quarry, Johnstone, Renfrewshire.This key role is responsible for ensuring all materials and product are safely and efficiently produced and dispatched within expected budgetary constraints to meet or exceed customer requirements.As well as Glasgow, this role is easily accessible from Cumbernauld, East Kilbride, Largs, Carluke, Kilmarnock, Johnstone and and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the role of Operations Manager (Quarry)has overall responsibility for the day-to-day safe operation of two quarries with particular focus on meeting and exceeding production targets, cost containment, safety, health and environmental standards and employee motivation and management.

The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Operations Manager (Quarry)will be able to successfullylead multiple operational teams and possess experience of influencing and engaging multi-functional teams, leading by example preferably within the extraction industry or similar.Anunderstanding of the construction materials business including knowledge and applications of aggregates and asphalt is preferred.
The key to your success will be your exceptional communication skills.As an influential and persuasiveleader, you will have a successful track record in managing, developing, motivating and inspiring both direct reports and people in your wider organisation to cultivate strong, engaged and competent teams.
