The company seeks an Operations Manager for the PM Shift, primarily Monday-Friday with some Saturdays as needed. Compensation depends on experience. Benefits include medical/dental insurance, company-paid life insurance/STD/LTD, a 6% matched 401k plan, and paid time off.

Position Summary: The Operations Manager should have a comprehensive knowledge of production operations, strong analytical and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities include executing plant objectives related to operations, safety, inventory control, employee development, quality, and customer service. This is a hands-on management role.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma, college degree, or equivalent laundry management experience; 3-5 years in manufacturing, production, or service industry with managerial responsibilities.
  • Analytical skills, organizational ability, attention to detail; capable of analyzing cost data to improve operations and reduce costs.
  • Proficient with computers and willing to learn new applications.
  • Effective interaction with employees, directing daily activities, strong communication skills, and ability to instruct on safe equipment operation.
  • Experience in employee relations, motivating teams, promoting development, and holding employees accountable.
  • Knowledge of company policies.
  • Ability to work in noisy, fast-paced environments, including hot and cold conditions.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Physical ability to repetitively bend, stretch, push, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand/walk throughout the day.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Plant Manager with staffing, goal setting, and production planning. Coordinate plant shutdowns and record attendance. Handle special projects as needed.
  • Participate in daily production meetings, coordinate workflow and staffing, operate equipment, and ensure productivity.
  • Ensure work distribution aligns with reports and shipping requirements. Report delays or shortages promptly.
  • Conduct employee safety training, including PPE, bloodborne pathogens, hazardous communications, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Hold monthly safety meetings to uphold safety standards.
  • Direct and motivate production staff, foster teamwork, promote open communication, and ensure positive employee relations.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly department, monitor safety and housekeeping standards.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements.
