Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Operations Manager to join and strengthen our highly experienced Depot management team.

In this role, you will be a crucial member of the management team overseeing the smooth running of our operation, helping your Depot achieve outstanding service to our customers and meet challenging objectives around Cost, Health & Safety, Security, Productivity, and Transport.

You will also be responsible for:

1. Recruitment, development, and retention of staff, ensuring all compliance and Employee Relations processes are followed.
2. Managing P&L through effective planning and reporting.
3. Improving overall support to the Operation while exploring innovative ways of working.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

• Extensive experience in logistics, warehouse, or distribution industries.
• Ability to manage a fast-paced operation and motivate high-performing teams.
• Experience in monitoring performance, analyzing data, and implementing improvements.
• Outstanding communication skills with strategic influence.

• Availability to cover any 5 shifts, including some weekends, as depots operate 365 days a year.
• A full UK driving license is essential.
