Job summary

Elite Hire Solutions is seeking an experienced Operations Manager / NICEIC Qualified Supervisor to lead electrical site delivery on new build housing projects. The role is hands-on, managing site teams, planning labour and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate is a time-served electrician with NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition, and 2391, with NICEIC/NAPIT supervisor status or eligibility, and experience supervising electrical teams across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Time-served electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Holding 18th Edition BS7671 and 2391 Inspection & Testing.
• NICEIC/NAPIT Qualified Supervisor status or eligible to register.
• Experience supervising electrical site teams on new build housing.

Responsibilities

• Act as NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, signing off electrical certification.
• Lead and plan labour across multiple live sites.
• Manage subcontract labour and agency staffing.
• Ensure installations meet BS7671, Part P and warranty requirements.
• Oversee testing, inspection, certification and handovers.
• Drive site safety, RAMS, toolbox talks and inspections.
• Collaborate with Contracts Managers on labour, progress and risk.

My client is looking for an experienced Operations Manager / NICEIC Qualified Supervisor to lead their electrical site delivery, with a strong focus on new build housing projects.

This is a hands-on management role overseeing site teams, labour planning, technical standards, compliance and project delivery.

The Role

• Act as the company's NICEIC Qualified Supervisor, overseeing and signing off electrical certification
• Manage and plan labour across multiple live sites
• Lead and manage electricians, supervisors, testers, mates and apprentices
• Manage agency and subcontract labour
• Ensure electrical installations meet BS7671, Part P and warranty requirements
• Oversee testing, inspection, certification and snag-free handovers
• Lead site safety, RAMS, toolbox talks and inspections
• Work closely with Contracts Managers to manage labour, progress and project risks
• Support the delivery of new build electrical packages from first fix through to completion

The Candidate

• Time-served Electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• 18th Edition BS7671
• 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent
• NICEIC/NAPIT Qualified Supervisor status or eligible to become registered
• Previous experience supervising/managing electrical site teams
• Strong new build housing experience
• Experience managing subcontractors and agency labour
• Good knowledge of CDM, RAMS and site safety
• SSSTS or SMSTS
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable: MCS/renewables, solar PV, battery storage, EV charging, IOSH/NEBOSH, IPAF or PASMA experience.
