Operations Manager - Leading Investment Manager

Miryco Consultants is working with an international asset manager to hire an Operations Manager for their ambitious team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager to join a firm with over $50 billion AUM.

Key Responsibilities, among others:

1. Manage day-to-day operations within the Investment Operations team, ensuring a healthy culture, mental wellbeing, and attitude towards operational risk. Cross-train team members across roles and asset classes, and support future planning. Act as line manager, organizing catch-ups, development meetings, and appraisals.
2. Oversee investment operations, including trade support and asset servicing. Coordinate with the trading desk and implementation team to monitor the trade lifecycle and ensure smooth operations.
3. Manage processes such as daily reconciliation, Corporate Action, cash management, and oversee Investment Operations controls. Lead client change management processes within Investment Operations.
4. Assist other teams, including the Listed Equity Valuation Committee, Business Management, and Portfolio Managers.
5. Coordinate with third-party administrators and vendors, overseeing key operational vendors. Present trading management information monthly to relevant groups such as the Portfolio Services, Middle Office, and Front Office teams.

Requirements:

1. 7-10 years of experience in an Investment Operations team.
2. Experience with both fixed income and equities is preferred.
3. Automation experience and understanding of operational risk are preferred.
4. IOC qualifications are an advantage.
5. Strong self-management skills, respect for others, and alignment with company culture.
6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
7. Knowledge of operational risks and a drive to improve team performance.

Location: City of London

Hybrid working: Tuesday to Thursday in-office; Monday & Friday WFH

Salary Range: £90,000 - £110,000 (dependent on experience)

Bonus: 40% (Discretionary)
