Job summary

GXO is seeking an Operations Manager for our Glasgow site at the BAE Systems facility. You will own inventory operations, warehouse systems and data, ensuring alignment with customer, contractual, regulatory, health & safety and governance standards.

This is a full-time, permanent role with Monday to Friday 07:00 - 16:30. You will lead Team Leaders and MTOs to meet performance objectives, manage resources across receiving and stock control, and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyse operational data and identify improvements.
• Experience managing stock accuracy and system governance.
• Proven people-management experience.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Motivate and manage a team of Team Leaders and MTOs to meet and exceed performance objectives.
• Manage resources to achieve and report on operational KPIs across receiving, Putaway, DRL dwell time, NC returns, cycle counting, stock integrity and cost.
• Create and review performance reports, making recommendations for improvements.
• Ensure a proactive approach to Health & Safety and compliance with policies.
• Support with disciplinary and grievance meetings as needed.
